ICCI joins the European Group Eiffage
The founder of ICCI and affiliates, a Canadian specialist in infrastructure construction and rehabilitation, has sold 70% of its enterprise to a European leader in concessions and construction (building and civil engineering works), Eiffage.
Eiffage operates and excels in five business sectors:
- CONCESSIONS AND PUBLIC-PRIVATE PARTNERSHIPS: major works of motorway and railway, infrastructure building, energy networks
- PUBLIC WORKS: earthworks, road, civil engineering, rail
- CONSTRUCTION: building, real estate, facility management
- ENERGY: electrical engineering, environmental engineering, process automation
- METAL: turnkey metal construction, prestigious facades, industrial maintenance
Though the brand, Eiffage, was only created 20 years ago, the Group has roots that date back to the nineteenth century and has accumulated many prestigious references over the years. From the Eiffel Tower to the Millau Viaduct – one of the highest of the world, to the Louvre Museum, the Sydney Opera House and even the Pierre Mauroy Stadium in Lille – a 50,000 capacity arena incorporating the latest technology of a retractable roof that can be closed in just 30 minutes and a movable lawn (the northern half of the pitch is designed to lift up and slide over the southern half) to reveal a “Showcase” venue for concerts seating up to 29,500 – Eiffage teams are consistently producing large scale innovative projects. They have also built numerous expressways in France as well as Portugal and Senegal and high speed rail lines like Bretagne – Pays de Loire (a 2.2 billion Canadian dollar project) whose work will be completed in 2017. The Group, which has made more than 20 billion Canadian dollars in sales in 2013, employs 68,000+ people.
For ICCI, whose business has had extremely high growth since its inception 3 years ago and is expected to reach more than 100 million Canadian dollars of work in 2014, the affiliation to the Eiffage Group represents a new opportunity for development and growth. The Canadian company, whose highly experienced management team remains in place in the new organization, values the importance of team synergy for major projects that the European Group has mastered.
